On Wednesday, July 27, 2016, environmental educator and writer David Orr visited the College of Charleston to meet with President Glenn McConnell and other campus leaders.
Orr, a well-known leader on sustainability literacy from Oberlin College and the author of eight books, including Down to the Wire: Confronting Climate Collapse, was invited to campus as an advisor for the College’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), which is a new initiative designed to foster sustainability literacy among the entire campus community.
Orr currently serves as is the Paul Sears Distinguished Professor of Environmental Studies and Politics and senior adviser to the president of Oberlin College.
During his visit to CofC, Orr also met with the College’s academic leaders, members of the QEP Steering Committee, members of the Board of Trustees and local civic leaders.
