The College’s Career Center is offering a new Internship Award to help give motivated students better access to internship opportunities.

The center created the award to eliminate financial barriers that may prevent students from pursuing summer internships. The program also offers coaching to students on how to get the most out of the internship experience.

The Internship Award will include monetary stipends to rising sophomores, juniors or seniors in any major at the College. Students who haven’t declared a major but would like to seek academic credit or a non-credit summer internship may also apply.

In addition to the stipend, the program will provide educational support to students through a series of professional development trainings to help students as they prepare for and participate in their internships.

The deadline to apply for a summer 2017 internship award is Aug. 5, 2016. For details on application materials, please visit the Career Center website. All application documents should be sent via e-mail in PDF format to Katie Smith at smithkl@cofc.edu.
