The lecture, part of the School of Business’ George G. Spaulding Distinguished Executive Speaker Series, will take place at 11 a.m. in Wells Fargo Auditorium, located in the Beatty Center, 5 Liberty St.

The event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are requested.

In 1970, President Richard Nixon awarded Livingston the United States’ highest military decoration —the Medal of Honor — for heroic actions in 1968 during the Vietnam War. He served on active duty in the Marine Corps for over 33 years before retiring on Sept. 1, 1995.

The George G. Spaulding Distinguished Executive Speaker Series was established in 1995 to connect the Charleston community with the nation’s leading entrepreneurial, executive and military minds. Spaulding, who passed away in 2015, was a former General Motors executive, a columnist for The Post & Courier and the first executive-in-residence in the School of Business.
