Nearly 200 people attended the recent 2016 Jeremy’s Golf and Gala held at Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, S.C., to benefit the Jeremy Warren Vann Memorial Scholarship. The golf and gala events raised more than $110,000.
“This ensures that the school will now be able to award five Jeremy Warren Vann Memorial Scholarships annually,” said Joe Tate ’15, marketing and events coordinator for the College’s School of Education, Health, and Human Performance.
This scholarship was established by Chuck and Sara Davis in honor of their late son, Jeremy Vann ’97, to celebrate his commitment to teaching, his joy in helping others, and his love for the College. Vann died in an automobile accident in 1998.
Undergraduate and graduate students with strong academic records and financial need are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The award amount is based on current tuition. To date, 37 students at the College have been supported by this scholarship.
Additional information about this and other scholarships is available on the School of Education, Health, and Human Performance website.
