Stop what you’re doing and log onto CofCSports.com — ’90s rock band Hootie & the Blowfish plays TD Arena on Friday, March 24, 2017.
Tickets are open to the public and start at $54. There are a limited amount available, so these will go fast. If you know every word of “Hold My Hand,” you may want to drop everything.
The concert is part of the The Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate Golf Tournament.
College golf teams from across the country, including the CofC team, are invited to compete at the Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw for three days.
The March 24 concert at TD Arena kicks off the weekend’s events but is not an official College event.
Hootie & the Blowfish lead guitarist and founding member Mark Bryan is as an adjunct professor in the College’s arts management program. Frontman Darius Rucker, a Charleston native, also helped kick off the College’s popular IN THE MIX music industry lecture series in 2014, so we have ties to the band in more ways than one.
