The College of Charleston and Trident Technical College (TTC) have formed a partnership designed to transition TTC students into the CofC’s Bachelor of Professional Studies Program.
The Cougar Path Program is a 2+2 program that allows students to take TTC courses for two years and then transfer to CofC to complete the remaining two years of the BPS degree.
“This 2+2 agreement puts students at the forefront, improving flexibility and increasing access to high quality college education, especially for our local tri-county students,” says Godfrey Gibbison, dean of the School of Professional Studies at the College of Charleston. “Institutions working together like this for the benefit of students is essential to the long-term economic vitality of the region.”
The Cougar Path Program is open to any TTC student who is enrolled in qualifying associate in arts, associate in science, associate in applied science or certificate programs at TTC, and who plan to enroll in the Bachelor of Professional Studies program at the College of Charleston.
Prospective students who wish to participate in the Cougar Path Program will have up to three years from initial enrollment at TTC to transfer to CofC.
The program will begin in the 2018 spring semester.
This new BPS program is housed at the College of Charleston North Campus located at 3800 Paramount Dr. in North Charleston.
