New York Times correspondent Kevin Sack will discuss the 200-year story of Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, also referred to as Mother Emanuel, during a talk at the College of Charleston Addlestone Library on March 5, 2018.
The discussion will be held in room 227 of the library beginning at 6 p.m. The program is sponsored by the College of Charleston Friends of the Library.
Kevin Sack is a senior writer for the New York Times. He has written broadly about national affairs for more than three decades and has shared in three Pulitzer Prizes. He is currently working on a book on the narrative history of the Emanuel A.M.E. Church.
The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
