College of Charleston fans are a loyal group, and followers of the CofC Men’s Basketball team have waited almost 20 years for the Cougars to return to the NCAA Tournament. The team clinched a chance at “The Big Dance” with an overtime win on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, against Northeastern University. The North Charleston Coliseum practically shook with excitement as the Cougars made a quick comeback in the final minutes to win the game and become the Colonial Athletic Association champs.
And fans across the country took to Instagram and Twitter to congratulate the team and show their Cougar pride.

Can’t get over the emotion in @Joe_Chealey‘s eyes and words after @CofCBasketball earned a spot in the NCAA Tourney.
Joe has been through a lot at CofC. Came to play for Doug Wojcik. Missed a season due to injury. Fully bought in to @EarlGrantCofC‘s plan.
It paid off Tuesday. pic.twitter.com/jDvXGuIpUW
