The CRS bowling league got the ball rolling for the chemistry department faculty members, whose team, the Holy City Rollers, are now in a league of their own!

Are you looking for some adventure that strikes the right balance between fun and fitness?

Then this team sport may right up your ally.

In October, Campus Recreation will roll into another season of the very popular faculty and staff bowling leagues. Teams are 4–12 people, and you can bowl as a group of friends, department or division – or sign up as a free agent and you’ll be assigned a team. To sign up, email Gene Sessoms with the team name and list of members by September 6.

All skill levels are welcome. Bowling games will be held at Ashley Bowling Lanes in West Ashley on Friday evenings 5:45–8:15 September 28 through November 30. The cost is only $13 for three games.

Best of all, you get to wear rented shoes.

If you would rather think about glutes than gutter balls, Campus Recreation also offers Cougar Fit this fall. This one-hour group fitness program meets every Monday and Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m. Faculty and staff may also enjoy an hour of indoor cycling at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays or of power yoga at the same time on Wednesdays.

Other fun recreational programs include table tennis night, volleyball night and badminton night.

Or you may just relish a fun game of pickleball for your Wednesday lunch hour.

For a complete schedule of events and more information on how to participate, go to the Campus Recreation page or call 843.953.5559.
