College of Charleston Athletics has named Kevin Jewett to head the College’s sailing program.
“We are excited to add Kevin to the College of Charleston Family,” said Director of Athletics Matt Roberts. “He brings a wealth of experience to our nationally-renowned sailing program. We look forward to continued success and growth under Kevin’s leadership.”
Jewett is succeeding Greg Fisher as director of sailing at CofC. This summer Fisher announced his departure from the College after eight years to take the position of chief operations officer for U.S. Olympic Sailing.
Jewett brings more than a decade of sailing experience to CofC. He is the co-owner of Sea & Caye LLC, a sailing business that provides classes, clinics and private lessons to young and experienced sailors. He has also served as the executive director for the Geneva Lake Sailing School in Wisconsin as well as a part-time coach with the University of Wisconsin sailing program.
