The School of Education, Health, and Human Performance at the College of Charleston, in conjunction with the Charleston Teacher Alliance, is co-sponsoring a Charleston County School Board Candidate Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018.
Questions for the forum will be submitted from current Charleston County teachers and aspiring teachers from the College of Charleston. The purpose of the event is to promote civic awareness, to learn about candidates’ views and visions, and to encourage current and aspiring teachers to vote. All Charleston County School Board candidates have been invited. There are no candidate endorsements.
Local radio personality TJ Phillips from 92.5 FM Kickin’ Country is the moderator for the forum. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at West Ashley High School auditorium at 4060 W. Wildcat Blvd., Charleston, 29414.
