The Office of Parking Services is hosting two one-hour workshops on the Lowcountry Rapid Transit (LCRT) project for the College of Charleston community at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in the Stern Center Ballroom, 71 George St.

With representatives from CARTA and the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council on Governments on site, the workshops will include an update from CARTA, an LCRT presentation/interactive session and a Q&A session.

Attendees will have the opportunity to weigh in on the vision for the LCRT system, which is a proposed 23-mile bus rapid-transit system between Charleston, North Charleston and Summerville that would provide reliable travel, connect communities and energize economic opportunities along the corridor.

Staff, faculty and students who are interested in CARTA services are encouraged to come learn how the LCRT could improve their commute to campus in the future.
