College of Charleston employees, retirees and their covered spouses who have the State Health Plan may use this Preventative Health Screen Voucher to receive a free health screening by one of the participating screening providers, including Doctor’s Care, through December 31, 2019. Employees must present the voucher and their State Health Plan insurance card and ask for the preventive health screening. There will be no cost to you. Test results will be mailed to your home within 14 business days.
Alternatively, there are several regional preventative screenings available in 2019, including one in Charleston on August 1. Registration forms are available here one month prior to the screenings.
In addition to measuring your height, weight and blood pressure, the screenings include a lipid panel (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides), chemistry profile (BUN and creatinine, glucose and electrolytes) and hemogram (red and white blood cell, hemoglobin and hematocrit).
