College of Charleston faculty and staff may attend many of the School of Arts performances and concerts for free, including the International Piano Series, the Charleston Music Fest and the 2nd Monday Series.

There are still plenty of opportunities to take advantage of this great perk this season:

On Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at 7:30 p.m., Turkish pianist/composer AyşeDeniz Gökçin will close the 29th season of the International Piano Series, performing everything from movements of Beethoven sonatas to newly arranged rock music covers in the style of Franz Liszt. Held in the Albert Simons Center for the Arts’ Emmett Robinson Theatre, this concert is free to College of Charleston faculty, staff, students and to children under 18. Tickets are $20 for the general public.

On Thursday, April 4, 2019, at 7:30 p.m., Janet Orenstein (violin), Brooks Whitehouse (cello) and Allison Gagnon (piano) will close the Charleston Music Fest season with Me Three: Exploring Female Composers Through Piano Trio. The concert will be held in the Simons Center Recital Hall; tickets are $25 at the door, $10 for students and free to faculty and staff.

On Monday, April 8, 2019, at 7:30 p.m., CofC music faculty Saundra DeAthos-Meers (soprano), David Templeton (baritone) and Robin Zemp (piano) will perform operatic scenes, arias and art songs as part of the 2nd Monday Series. The concert will be held in the Simons Center Recital Hall; tickets are $15 at the door, $10 for students and free to faculty and staff.
