It was a weekend to remember at the College of Charleston – and, as we look back at Spring Alumni Weekend 2019, it’s time to start looking forward to the upcoming Fall Alumni Weekend, too!

More than 4,000 alumni, students and guests participated in this year’s Spring Alumni Weekend events. The fun began on Friday, May 3, 2019, with 14 different evening events, including piazza parties, happy hours and receptions specialized for alumni from every corner of campus. Whether they attended the ’80s Flashback Friday with the School of Education, Health, and Human Performance or the Black Alumni Council’s Maroon Friday Fish Fry, guests kicked off the weekend with fellowship, fun and friends.

On Saturday morning, the Alumni Champagne Brunch was followed by a Parade by Classes, with the College’s pep band, Chucktown Sound, leading alumni and their families across campus. Then, Saturday night was the biggest party of the year: A Charleston Affair. Marking the 120th annual reception welcoming graduating students into the Alumni Association, this year’s A Charleston Affair featured an upgraded gourmet menu, expanded craft beer and wine offerings in the Glebe Street Lounge and five VIP areas, including a brand-new “Beach Club,” where guests shagged the night away.

Check out some of the fun from this year’s Spring Alumni Weekend events below – and mark your calendars for the 2019 Fall Alumni Weekend being held Nov. 22–24, 2019. Don’t miss out on the annual Alumni Oyster Roast in Cistern Yard on Saturday, Nov. 23, or the Alumni Awards Gala at 6 p.m. that evening at the Charleston Marriott. This year’s gala will mark the launch of the College’s 250th anniversary celebration and will be a black-tie dinner/dance featuring the East Coast Party Band.

It’s sure to be another weekend to remember!
