The College of Charleston Division of Business Affairs is experiencing a shift in leadership with Sam Jones, senior vice president of fiscal services, retiring at the end of the month and Paul Patrick, former chief financial officer and executive vice president for business affairs, moving into the role of chief of staff in the Office of the President.

The College has announced that Dawn Willan, who has served as the College’s controller for eight years, will assume the roles of interim vice president of fiscal services and interim chief financial officer upon Jones’ retirement. Ed Pope, vice president of human resources, has been named interim executive vice president of business affairs, effective immediately. Pope will continue to serve in his role as vice president of human resources, as well.

A national search for a permanent executive vice president of business affairs/CFO will begin this summer, and announcements regarding permanent appointments for these positions will be made at a later date.
