The College of Charleston Counseling Center is offering a series of Koru Mindfulness courses for CofC students, faculty and staff.

These entry-level courses will meet weekly for four weeks to build mindfulness skills for regular daily life. Participants will learn practical skills for increasing mindfulness, managing and reducing stress, focusing their minds, reducing negative self-judgment and gaining perspective on the issues and challenges in their lives.

All sessions will be led by Rachael McNamara, a Koru Mindfulness–certified health educator in the Counseling Center, and will be held in the Robert Scott Small Building, room 319. Participants must attend all four sessions. Registration is required.

The series schedule is as follows:

July 8–29: Mondays, 1:30–2:15 p.m.

September 16–October 7: Mondays, 3–4:15 p.m.

October 22–December 12: Tuesdays, 1:40–2:55 p.m.

Please note: These courses are student preferred. Should a course fill up, students will be admitted first, and faculty and staff could be bumped.
