The College of Charleston community may submit feedback about the Lowcountry Rapid Transit (LCRT) project and the proposed routes before July 25, 2019.
The LCRT project is a proposed 26-mile bus rapid transit system between Charleston, North Charleston and Summerville that would provide reliable travel, connect communities and energize economic opportunities along the U.S. 78/U.S. 52 (Rivers Avenue) corridor, one of the most important and most congested corridors in the state.
As the College continues to seek sustainable solutions on and around campus, it encourages faculty, staff and students – especially those currently riding CARTA – to familiarize themselves with the LCRT project, understand its potential impact on their commutes and provide feedback.
Information about the LCRT project is available here, with details about the routes under the “Reasonable Alternatives” tab in the lefthand column. You can submit a feedback submission form under the “Your Input” tab at the bottom of the lefthand column.
