It should come as no surprise to alumni, current students or recent visitors to the College of Charleston that the fair city in which our school resides has once again been named “No. 1 City in the U.S.” by the readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.
This is the seventh consecutive year that the readers of Travel + Leisure have ranked Charleston the No. 1 City in the U.S. The wealth of art, restaurants, historic landmarks and polite citizens ultimately put Charleston on top once again.
The magazine’s editors write, “There are endless reasons to love Charleston: The dreamy Spanish-moss-draped oaks. The candy-colored row houses. The punches-above-its-weight food scene. The history.” Of course, since CofC has all of those things in spades, we wholeheartedly agree!
In 2017, the College earned accolades from the popular travel magazine when Travel + Leisure readers named CofC “America’s Most Beautiful College Campus.”
