The College’s emergency management team has been working in partnership with state, county and city officials in tracking Hurricane Dorian’s path and its potential impact on the region.

At this time, all College of Charleston classes, events and activities will go on as scheduled for Monday, September 2, 2019, and all employees should report to work as normal.

As stated earlier, the safety of our campus community is of the utmost importance. Students, faculty and staff who are currently away from campus are advised to use their best judgment in determining whether to return to campus for Monday (Labor Day, which is typically a regular class/work day at the College).

Faculty members and supervisors are advised to work with their students and staff regarding any absences due to travel and safety concerns.

This storm’s track has been especially unpredictable, so the situation in the next 24 hours may change quickly. The College emergency management team will notify the campus community of any changes of schedule and operations.
