Whether it’s a workday or a holiday, life gets stressful. We just have to deal with it.
To help CofC employees prepare for and deal with the inevitable stressors in life, the Office of Human Resources has partnered with Deer Oaks EAP, the College of Charleston’s employee assistance program, to offer two workshops this semester: (1) Managing Workplace Stressors and (2) How to Enjoy the Holidays and Minimize Holiday Stress.
Managing Workplace Stressors (Sept. 12, 10–11 a.m.; Stern Center, room 201): This session will guide you through identifying your unique professional/workplace stressors and exploring ways to address and manage them effectively. It will also discuss the impact of perfectionist tendencies and the principles of time management. (This workshop will be offered again in early 2020.)
Holidaze: How to Enjoy the Holidays and Minimize Holiday Stress (Oct. 16, 2–3 p.m.; Stern Center, room 201): This workshop will consider the internal and external causes and sources of holiday stress and explore ways to minimize the tension and increase the fun for everyone involved.
To enroll for one or both of these workshops, log onto Cougar Ed, click on Catalog and choose your session from there. For more information, contact Kristen Halverson.
