The Blood Connection (TBC) will be holding blood drives at the College of Charleston on Oct. 22 and Oct. 23, 2019.
On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the TBC blood mobile will be at the College’s North Campus, 3800 Paramount Dr. in North Charleston, from 3 to 7 p.m. And on Wednesday, Oct. 23, TBC will be in the Stern Center Ballroom on the main campus in downtown Charleston, 71 George St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All blood donors will receive a T-shirt and a $10 Chick-fil-A gift card. The drives are open to students, faculty, staff and the public.
“We’re grateful the College of Charleston is teaming up with TBC,” says Heather Moulder, director of marketing and public relations for TBC. “Partnerships like this make it possible to accomplish our mission to save more lives here in the Lowcountry. Each donation with TBC could help to save up to three lives in this community, so we appreciate everyone who plans to come out and donate.”
Every donor will have a mini-physical prior to their blood draw to check their blood pressure, pulse, temperature and iron level. Donors may then check their results on the TBC Online Donor Portal within five days after their donation.
The Blood Connection is a nonprofit community blood center that supplies blood products to the entire McLeod Health system and Colleton County’s C.A.R.E. Flight med-trans unit, as well as continuing to service Roper St. Francis Healthcare in Charleston.
