CofC IT Training Sessions

All College of Charleston staff and faculty have access to Office 365, allowing them to use applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint from anywhere, at any time, using any device with an internet connection.

As part of its ongoing efforts to help the College of Charleston community get the most out of Microsoft Office 365, the Division of Information Technology is holding a series of learning opportunities this month to demonstrate best practices and essential concepts of Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Sway.

Microsoft Teams is a communication and collaboration platform for chatting/messaging, video meetings and file sharing/storage (including collaboration on files).

Microsoft Sway is a cloud-based application used to create and share visually captivating newsletters, reports, presentations and other communications. With Sway, you can easily tell your story by adding text, images, videos and more. Think of Sway as a hybrid between PowerPoint and Publisher.

These short training sessions will explore all of these functions and introduce some tips and tricks to Microsoft Teams or Microsoft Sway:

  • Microsoft Teams In-Person Training Session: Monday, Dec. 16, 10–11 a.m., BellSouth Building, room 519
  • Microsoft Sway In-Person Training Session: Thursday, Dec. 19, 10–10:45 a.m., BellSouth Building, room 519
  • Microsoft Sway Online Training Session (via Microsoft Teams): Thursday, Dec. 19, 2–2:45 p.m.
