The next round of applications for the College of Charleston Staff Professional Development Incentive Program are due by midnight on March 15, 2020. Requests for funding must be for activities completed by June 30, 2020.
Operated by the Staff Advisory Committee to the President (SAC), the program is designed to assist College staff in funding professional development endeavors that will improve the skills or knowledge relevant to their job performance (e.g., conferences, workshops, training). Grants funded under the program must be specifically linked to enhancing academic quality or service to the College community, and it is expected that the staff member will share the information obtained with others in the department or college who would also benefit.
“It is the College’s goal to be a lifelong learning environment in support of a diverse faculty and staff who are excellent scholars, educators and professionals,” says President Andrew T. Hsu. “I hope that a number of you will be able to utilize this program.”
The Staff Professional Development Incentive Program funding application form is available online and must be completed and submitted electronically.
Funds are administered four times during each academic year, with final approval residing with the Office of the President. The first round of applications for the fiscal year 2020–21 may be submitted July 1–15, 2020.
