In order to comply with the recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control advising against gatherings of 50 or more people for the next eight weeks, the College of Charleston Alumni Association has made the difficult decision to cancel all Spring Alumni Weekend 2020 events, including A Charleston Affair. The annual events were scheduled to take place May 1-3, 2020.
“While we know this is disappointing news, our top priority is the safety of our students, alumni, faculty, staff, families and neighbors,” says Ann Looper Pryor ’83, vice president of Alumni Affairs. “Meanwhile, we hope you will plan to join us on campus for Fall Alumni Weekend, Nov. 20–22, 2020.”
Those who have bought tickets will receive a refund soon from the association’s ticket broker, Eventbrite, and December 2019 and May/Summer 2020 graduating students will receive a discount on tickets to A Charleston Affair next year.
