With students spread far and wide for the final weeks of the spring semester, College of Charleston President Andrew T. Hsu shared some select songs for encouragement and serenity with the campus community on Wednesday, March 25, 2020:

Dear Students:

Over the past week, many students have asked me to share a new playlist. So, here is my “Spring 2020 – e-Learning Mix/Together, Always,” a playlist of a few songs that I thought might provide some good background music or a little uplift to your day as we all sit in front of our computers doing work remotely.

These 25 songs, with a nod to our 250th anniversary (25 for 250, get it?), were recommended to me by faculty, students and my daughters. Some are inspirational, some are light-hearted, some poke fun at our current situation and some are intended to help calm the anxiety we all feel right now.

Let me know what you think. As always, please send me your recommendations so that I can include them in future playlists.

Per the last song’s tongue-in-cheek instructions, practice good hygiene and stay safe and healthy! Remember, even though we may be separated in this e-learning period, we are together, always!

Go Cougars!

Sincerely,

Andrew
