How long have you worked at the College? 15 years

What are your job responsibilities? Water plants, pull weeds, keep my route clean, cut bushes.

What do you like most about your job? Making the campus look beautiful and working with my co-workers.

What question do you get asked most in your job and what’s your typical answer? “What type of plants are you working with?” My typical answer is naming the plants, and then telling them how to take care of them.

What’s your favorite location on campus and why? The library and how the plants beautify the area.

What are your hobbies? Playing basketball and fishing.

What personal and/or professional accomplishment are you most proud of? Being here for 15 years. I have learned to identify plants and I have taken courses to learn how to operate different equipment needed in landscaping.

Name a creative work (book, movie, performance, etc.) you enjoyed recently and why? Black Panther. It showed me how to be a strong person with pride, and also it had actor Chadwick Boseman, also a native of South Carolina.

What was your favorite TV show growing up? The Martin Lawrence show and Family Matters.

What’s next on your bucket list? One day buy a home and take care of my kids.

What is something your campus colleagues would be surprised to know about you? I am man of God and I believe in respect and being respected.

What was your first job? Dishwasher.

What’s your favorite Lowcountry restaurant? Hyman’s Seafood.

Describe your perfect day: After leaving work, going home, checking on my mother, making sure she has everything she needs, seeing that my kids are OK and just relaxing and enjoying my family.
