The College of Charleston is one of the top colleges and universities in the South, according to the 2022 edition of Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report.
The College ranked No. 9 among southern institutions and No. 5 in the category of best public colleges in the region.
In addition, the College was named an “A+ School for B Students” among Southern regional universities, No. 5 in undergraduate teaching in the region, No. 4 for the most innovative school in the region and the third best school for veterans among Southern institutions.
“I am proud that the College of Charleston continues to be highly ranked in the U.S. News & World Report, especially as it relates to veteran support, innovation and undergraduate teaching,” says College of Charleston President Andrew T. Hsu. “These rankings provide yet more affirmation of the College of Charleston’s exceptional academic experience and its positive impact on students.”
The U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings of 1,400 colleges and universities are based on 17 indicators, including faculty resources, student outcomes, institutional reputation and alumni giving. It has published its Best Colleges rankings since 1983.
Earlier this month, The Princeton Review named the College of Charleston as one of the best institutions for undergraduate education in America.
