As a student, finding grades and financial aid information can be frustrating. With the official launch of MyPortal, a new, easy-to-use mobile and web-based app, students will be able to do business with the College of Charleston with ease from their computer or mobile device.

MyPortal Student HeaderThe desktop version of MyPortal can be accessed through myportal.cofc.edu. The mobile application is available for download through the Google and Apple app stores by searching “College of Charleston MyPortal.”

The customizable platform will make it simple to manage all facets of life at the College from academics to administrative applications and services. With a slimmed down menu of services, MyPortal will offer students an efficient and effective experience aimed at streamlining access to everything from OAKS and My Holds to Parking Services and Dining.

As Lynne Ford, professor of political science and associate vice president for the Academic Experience, says, the new system is transformative.

“The project promises to more effectively and conveniently connect students, faculty and staff to the information they need, when they need it,” explains Ford. “Students and those who support their success will see dashboards with critical metrics like grades, major and minor programs, and progress toward degree completion. Just-in-time reminders will keep students on track with registration, scholarship and financial aid requirements, and appointments.”

All MyPortal users can:

  • Move and arrange tiles on their home screen
  • Add and remove selected tiles from their home screen
  • Search and find new tiles to enhance their home screen

MyPortal will continue to evolve with more application tiles and functionality added over time. Some resources will still need to be accessed via MyCharleston including schedule changes, course add/drop or withdrawal, program of study management requests, proxy access management, enrollment verification and e-bill.

Be sure to check MyPortal regularly to see what applications have been added and provide feedback about the overall experience through the “MyPortal Feedback” tile. For technical difficulties, please fill out a ticket with IT.
