MyPortal continues to expand the tiles it has available. Its latest tile, eBill, will make it convenient for students, faculty and staff to see the status of their Dining Dollars, Cougar Cash, payment plans, electronic refunds and tuition, fees, room and board deposits.

“We started using eBill in 2003, but MyPortal improves access and visibility,” says David Katz, treasurer at the College of Charleston. “Now students, parents and staff can easily stay in the loop in real time.”

The desktop version of MyPortal can be accessed through myportal.cofc.edu. In addition to eBill, other popular tiles within MyPortal include the following:

  • Cougar Card Portal, which gives students, faculty and staff easier access and better visibility to balances for classes, Dining Dollars and on-campus housing.
  • Employee Dashboard, which provides an instant summary of leave hours and offers a quick and easy way to fill out a leave report.
  • OAKS, which serves as a one-stop hub for students and faculty, providing an easy interface for professors and students to communicate, review syllabi, check homework assignments, get grades and submit essays and videos.

“We are thrilled with how members of the campus community have embraced MyPortal,” says Mark Staples, the College’s chief information officer and senior VP of the Division of Information Technology. “I think the simplicity of MyPortal is why it’s such a hit.”

As the College modernizes its technology platform, MyPortal will continue to evolve, and the feedback the campus community provides will play a huge role in that evolution. Please share your thoughts using the MyPortal Feedback tile.
