From Cougar Family Fun to the Otto B. German Minority Male Initiative program for high schoolers to dress rehearsals for the School of the Arts’ production of The Magic Flute at the Sottile Theatre this weekend – it’s been a busy week at CofC!

Otto B. German MMI event

On Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.5 joined other minority males to experience the College of Charleston through the Otto B. German Minority Male Initiative program. The Otto B. German Minority Male Initiative strives to empower, support and assist men of color in creating a strong foundation of success that they can build upon for years to come. Students who participate in the program tend to achieve higher grades, be more academically and socially integrated into campus and graduate at higher rates. (Photos by Heather Moran)
