Two of the College of Charleston’s master’s programs were recently recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s list of Best Graduate Schools. The College’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program ranked within the Top 100 for the 2023 Best Business Schools, and the Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) program ranked within the Top 100 of Best Public Affairs Programs.
“The College of Charleston is committed to proving that you don’t have to spend a lot of money in order to receive an elite MBA experience,” says Ron Magnuson, director of the MBA and professional programs in the School of Business. “We have worked hard to keep the cost of the program extremely affordable. This latest national ranking is another validation for the quality of our program.”
And that quality was also recognized across the Graduate School, University of Charleston, South Carolina, in the M.P.A. program.
“We are very excited to have the hard work done by our faculty and staff recognized by our peers in the profession,” says Judy Millesen, political science professor and director of the M.P.A. program. “This recognition is a testament to the leadership our faculty play at the local and national level in service to their communities and professional associations. We are collectively committed to delivering the highest quality public administration education to a future generation of public leaders.”
Every year, U.S. News & World Report ranks professional school programs in business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing, including specialties in each area. The Best Graduate Schools rankings in these areas are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students. The data for the rankings in all six disciplines is based on statistical surveys from more than 2,150 programs and reputation surveys sent to more than 23,200 academics and professionals.
