The College of Charleston is one of the top universities in the South, according to the 2023 edition of Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report. In the latest edition of the report, the College moved up to No. 4 in the category of “Top Public University in the South.”

Best Colleges for Veterans: Regional Universities in the South – No. 3

Most Innovative Schools: Regional Universities in the South – No. 2

Undergraduate Teaching: Regional Universities in the South – No. 7

A+ School for B Student: Regional Universities in the South – No. 5

Best Undergraduate Business – No. 190

The U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings of 1,500 colleges and universities are based on 17 indicators, including faculty resources, student outcomes, institutional reputation and alumni giving. The Best Colleges rankings have been published since 1983.

Last month, The Princeton Review and Fiske Guide named the College of Charleston as one of the best institutions for undergraduate education in America.
