Veterans Day is a time to pause and consider the many former members of the U.S. military – particularly those among our College of Charleston community – and their sacrifices, resilience and bravery.
“Veterans Day gives us all the opportunity to pay tribute to our armed forces veterans who currently serve as members of the College’s faculty and staff,” says Ed Pope, vice president of human resources at the College. “We thank you for your service to our country and salute you and all veterans on this special day! We are grateful and fortunate to be able to call you members of the College of Charleston family.”

Veteran and Military Student Services will also be honoring the College’s student veterans at the CofC Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, from 4–6 p.m., in the Stern Center Garden.
As we thank our veterans for their service this Veterans Day, we also thank the military for providing us with quality professionals who make our campus the wonderful place it is.
If you are a veteran employed at CofC and your name is not listed, please email either the Office of Human Resources or Faculty & Staff News to ensure you are included in the future.
