The College of Charleston is hosting two campus-planning open houses – one for students and one for faculty and staff – for the campus community to learn more about the College’s new Campus Master Plan and provide feedback and input. The Campus Master Plan will serve as a tool to help establish a continuing framework to guide the orderly growth and development of the campus while protecting and enhancing important open spaces as well as historic and cultural landscapes.

The team of campus planning consultants the College is working with, which includes the architecture firm Beyer Blinder Belle, will be on campus for the open houses on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 2022, to provide information about the campus-planning efforts and hear feedback and input from the greater CofC community. Complete with interactive information stations, the following open houses will be held in the first floor atrium of the Thaddeus Street Jr. Education Center (25 St. Philip St.):

  • Students: Wednesday, Nov. 30, 3–6 p.m.
  • Faculty and Staff: Thursday, Dec. 1, 2–4 p.m.

Students, faculty and staff are all encouraged to be informed, get involved and stay updated about the campus-planning process – and to provide input so that the College of Charleston can continue to be the special place that it is.
