College of Charleston faculty and staff sure do appreciate one another! And – by the looks of the hundreds of submissions recognizing CofC employees through the College’s new employee-driven program, The Cistern Standard – they’re happy to let their respect for each other be known!

Introduced at the beginning of the semester, the employee recognition program allows faculty and staff to use a simple Employee Recognition Form to acknowledge and spotlight their colleagues from across campus who embody the College’s core values – integrity; academic excellence; liberal arts education; diversity, equity and inclusion; student centeredness; innovation; and public mission – demonstrating them through their behavior and actions. Although the Office of Human Resources is responsible for the administration of the program, The Cistern Standard was developed in partnership with Subcommittee 5 of the Strategic Plan Pillar 3 (employee experience and success) Committee and the Staff Advisory Committee to the President (SAC).

And, by all accounts, it’s been a huge success!
