Welcome to CofC Day, the College of Charleston’s 4th annual day of giving, which began at midnight and will continue to 11:59 p.m. tonight (Jan. 26, 2023).
“In planning CofC Day 2023, we worked with the president, the provost, our deans and our athletics director to identify the top priorities that will propel the College forward – where gifts can make a profound difference in the student experience, faculty enrichment and our rankings and reputation,” explains Cathy Hill Mahon ’80, interim executive vice president of institutional advancement and interim executive director of the College of Charleston Foundation. “The 14 areas highlighted on the CofC Day home page are a result of careful consideration because our donors need to know where their gifts can make the most impact at the College.”
The College and the Lowcountry CofC Club are co-hosting a “Big Birthday Bash” in the Cistern Yard today (Jan. 26, 2023) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. There will be food trucks, the Chucktown Sound pep band, CofC cheerleaders, the Cougarettes dance team, Clyde the Cougar, “Ping Pong with President Hsu,” maroon velvet birthday cupcakes, a hat contest and prizes.
Tickets for students, alumni, faculty, staff, family and friends include a $10 food truck voucher, a commemorative T-shirt, a ticket for a spin on the prize wheel and a donation to the College for CofC Day.
All students (ticketed or not) will receive one door prize entry for four drawings: three $500 scholarships and one official CofC ring. The student must be present to win.
In addition, alumni and friends will celebrate CofC Day at more than 20 regional CofC Clubs.
Visit the CofC Day website to participate in the day of giving, and follow the Alumni Association’s social media accounts for details on ticket sales: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
