The Summer 2023 issue of College of Charleston Magazine is just arriving throughout campus, in homes across the country and around the globe.

The diverse collection of stories includes a tattooed, skateboarding molecular biologist; a student who has a sweet business going; and an essay by a computer science alumnus on how ChatGPT will affect education.

The magazine is filled with interesting stories about students, faculty and alumni worth knowing about. All of the current stories (and ones from past issues) are available online.

A Season to Remember
After a record season that included a trip to the NCAA Tournament, men’s head basketball coach Pat Kelsey and the Cougars basketball team reflect on one of the best years in program history. 

Hitting A High Note
After picking up their second Grammy Award this spring, the members of Ranky Tanky – three of whom are alumni (Kevin Hamilton ’95, Quentin Baxter ’98 and Clay Ross ’98) of the College’s small but mighty music program – are back in the studio working on their third album for their growing legion of worldwide fans.

The Strawberry King
The co-founder of one of the leading strawberry operations in the country, Scott Blazer ’79 transplanted his Southern sensibility to the California produce industry to great effect and is enjoying the fruits of his labor.
