The College of Charleston is one of the top universities in the South, according to the 2024 edition of Best Colleges, by U.S. News & World Report. In the latest edition of the report, the College was named No. 4 in the category of “Top Public University in the South.”

The U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings of over 1,500 colleges and universities are based on 17 indicators, including faculty resources, student outcomes, institutional reputation and alumni giving. The Best Colleges rankings have been published since 1983.
Earlier this year, The Princeton Review and Fiske Guide named the College of Charleston as one of the best institutions for undergraduate education in America.
