The College of Charleston’s march to the NCAA tournament begins on Nov. 6, 2023, as the men’s basketball team opens the 2023–24 season at home against Iona University. The match-up with the Gaels will mark the first meeting between the programs. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. in TD Arena.

The Cougars start the season hoping to build on the success of last year when they finished the 2022–23 campaign with an overall record of 31-4 on their way to their first CAA title since 2018. The College rode a 28-game winning streak before earning an automatic bid to March Madness. Along with winning the Charleston Classic, the Cougars spent four weeks ranked in the AP Top 25 poll, peaking at No. 18.

Following the home opener, Charleston will enter a seven-game road stand starting in Annapolis at the Veteran’s Classic hosted by the Naval Academy. The College will face Atlantic 10 member Duquesne in Annapolis on Nov. 10 before the Myrtle Beach Classic on Nov. 16, 17 and 19.

For the first time in program history, College of Charleston men’s basketball has sold out TD Arena for the entirety of the 2023–24 season. Visit the Athletics Department’s website for a full men’s basketball schedule.
