Two stars from HBO’s Emmy-nominated series “Silicon Valley” are coming to the College of Charleston.

silicon-valleyA Night of Comedy with T.J. Miller, featuring Thomas Middleditch, takes place at 9 p.m., Sept. 18, 2014, in Sottile Theatre, 44 George St.

The event is presented by the Office of Student Life.

Tickets are $5 for College of Charleston students (with a valid Cougar Card) and $10 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the Stern Student Center Front Desk from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Transactions are cash only. There are two ATMs located in the Stern Center Lobby.

T.J. Miller

TJ-MillerT.J. Miller, who plays Erlich on “Silicon Valley,” has been named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch,” as well as one of Entertainment Weekly’s “Next Big Things in Comedy.” Miller was most recently seen hosting the first season of Comedy Central’s “Mash Up,” a series that combined stand-up and sketch comedy.

Miller also co-starred in Fox’s “The Goodwin Games.” In addition to his television work, Miller has a popular podcast, “Cashing in with T.J. Miller,” on Nerdist.com.

Miller has been seen in a number of major film releases, recently “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World” and in 80s rock musical “Rock of Ages,” opposite Tom Cruise. Miller’s additional film credits include: “Our Idiot Brother,” “Yogi Bear,” Gulliver’s Travels,” “Unstoppable,” “She’s Out of My League” and “Get Him to the Greek.”

Thomas Middleditch

Thomas-MiddleditchThomas Middleditch, who plays Richard on “Silicon Valley,” can soon be seen in “Search Party,” where he plays Nardo, a guy who gets into a big mess in Mexico.

Middleditch has also been featured in the role of Dwight Schrute’s brother on NBC’s “The Office” and as Fuzzy in the film “Fun Size.”

His other film work includes: “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Brass Teapot,” “The Kings of Summer,” “The Other Guys,” “Being Flynn” and “Splinterheads.”

Middleditch is a regular performer at Upright Citizens Brigade, a member of the Improvised Shakespeare Company and performs comedy shorts with CollegeHumor.
