Please extend a warm welcome to them all!
Bridget Alaniva
Associate Director of Honors College Admissions, Honors College
Background: I am originally from Plymouth, Michigan, in the Lower Peninsula. I attended college at Michigan Technological University in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, majoring in communication, culture and media with minors in historical studies and media production (graduated 2018). After college, I moved down to Charlotte, North Carolina, to work for UNC Charlotte as the coordinator of student outreach and engagement for its School of Social Work. In January 2023, I moved to Charleston.
Interests: I am a big Michigan sports fan; I love watching the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, University of Michigan and Michigan Tech sports teams. I love wildlife and being in the outdoors. I try to go hiking and camping in my spare time on weekends. I love going to museums and learning about history in different ways. I also have an area in the house where I can work on my paintings, as painting is a hobby I have enjoyed for a long time. My family and friends in Michigan are also very important to me, so I try to go back and visit (or have them visit) as much as possible. I enjoy traveling, so I don’t mind the distance too much.
Looking Forward: I am looking forward to meeting new people in Charleston and at CofC. I can’t wait to help support the Honors College and be part of that team. It’s exciting to be working at a college that is so close and connected to the city that it’s in.
Sara Maria Segoviano Coleman ’17
Assistant Director of Fitness, Campus Recreation Services
Background: I am a proud alumna from the Class of 2017. I have been working with student affairs since 2014, as a student front desk attendant and as a fitness leader for Campus Recreation Services. I possess several gold-standard certifications in group fitness, strength and conditioning, corrective exercise and personal training. During my graduate studies in 2019, Campus Recreation Services gave me the opportunity to be the College’s fitness coordinator, allowing me to expand my passion even further by leading and teaching fitness classes. I enjoy teaching Cougar Fit to our faculty and staff. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in the exercise and sports sciences discipline.
Interests: In my free time, I am raising my two rescued kitties, GiGi and BiBi. I love working with my hands and have taken up several at-home DIY projects.
Looking Forward: Today, I am excited for my new position here as assistant director of fitness, and I am looking forward to serving the members of the College of Charleston community on their journey to fitness.

Looking Forward: I’m looking forward to doing my part in helping students meet their goals.
Nicolette Lambos
Academic Advisor, Academic Advising and Planning Center
Background: I was born and raised in Ohio, later to become an Ohio University Bobcat studying middle childhood education. In 2018, I moved to Charleston, where I began my teaching career at Northwoods Middle School in North Charleston. While teaching, I received my master’s in urban education with a certificate in anti-racism.
Interests: What is most important to me is quality time with friends and family. I love spending time with them at the beaches in Charleston or enjoying a good meal. I have a love for good food and I am always looking for the best spots to experience in town!
Looking Forward: I am extremely excited to begin my transition from K-12 education to higher education here at CofC. I am eager to work with individuals who value creative thinking and support a liberal arts education – and to continue supporting and connecting with students!
