The College of Charleston officially welcomes the newest additions to the Cougar family. With a range of skills, expertise and interests, these new staff members have one thing in common: They are excited to be part of the CofC community. And weโre just as excited to have them!
Please welcome them all to campus!
Matt Bowersox
Director of Marketing and Communication, Graduate School
Background: I have over five years of experience working in higher education. I previously worked at Furman University where I helped launch marketing initiatives for five new programs.
Interests: I enjoy going on adventures, even if it is just a walk across town. I love sampling new and unique foods and playing fun tabletop games with friends and family. I also enjoy spending time with my beautiful family, my wife Savannah and 18-month-old daughter Daisy.
Looking Forward: I’m looking forward to making a lasting, positive impact on the Graduate School, and making my own mark on the university and how it operates that will be remembered favorably by students and staff into the future.
Braden Connor
Men’s Basketball Video Coordinator, Athletics Maintenance, Department of Athletics
Background: I am from Cincinnati, Ohio.
Interests: I am interested in basketball and golf.
Looking Forward: I look forward to working with the basketball staff.
Kaitlyn Dalrymple ’19
Lab Assistant, Department of Biology
Background: My family is from all over, so I just say I’m from the East Coast. I got my B.S. in biology from the College of Charleston (2019) and later got a master’s in ecology and conservation in Brazil (2022).
Interests: I really love animals, nature photography, art and spending time with my dog. She even traveled with me to Brazil and back.
Looking Forward: It is the “Most Beautiful College Campus,” so not a bad place to work!
Martin Diaz-Rios
Director of Admissions Operations, Office of Enrollment Information
Background: I am working out of Orlando, Florida. I was previously at Valencia College working as the assistant director for international admissions. I primarily focused on managing a team of specialists processing applications for international students coming into the country with an F-1 visa.
Interests: I enjoy reading, watching movies and exercising. I like to visit our natural parks and I thoroughly enjoy trying new places to eat.
Looking Forward: I am looking forward to meeting the team and integrating myself at the College. I look forward to the new challenges I will have.
Kevin Quintero
IT Service Desk Team Lead, IT Support Services, Division of Information Technology
Background: I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I initially began my studies in aviation pursuing a career as a flight instructor; however, I quickly found computer troubleshooting and repair to be a fun and fulfilling experience. Before the College of Charleston, I was a Geek Squad agent for 5 1/2 years.
Interests: I’ve recently discovered a love for photography and have been spending my spare time learning the different aspects of capturing a moment digitally.
Looking Forward: I’m excited for aย new challenge and a new environment, branching out of the retail space to make what I feel is a more impactful difference.
