The College of Charleston has launched a new centralized events calendar. The new Campus Calendar is available now at calendar.cofc.edu and can be accessed on any smartphone or computer.ย 

The Campus Calendar is an essential tool to help foster and build community growth. By allowing students to come together in person and online andย for some hybrid events, the College can continue to develop a sense of belonging within our community.ย 

Students and staff can now explore all the events happening on campus in one convenient place. Community members can easily browse and register for upcoming, popular or additional categories of events in a single College of Charleston calendar, all accessible on their phone or desktop. They can also create calendars for their events, which they can sync with popular social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare.ย ย 

The new events calendar offers a robust set of features, including:ย 

  • Custom categories so users can narrow down what type of events they are looking forย 
  • Ability to add events to users’ personal calendarsย 
  • Filters that feed events directly to departments webpages with events calendarsย 
  • Registrationโ€ฏright on the site without having to go through a third partyย 
  • Feeds directly from Cougar Connect, so events donโ€™t need to be entered in two different placesย 
  • Event metrics so event managers can see event views, registrations and social activityย 
  • Event landing pages so users can learn more about the event in which they are interestedย 
  • Consistent branding on all eventsย 
  • User submissions so campus groups can submit events to listedย 

Members of the campus community may now easily submit events by following the instructions on the Campus Calendar Cheat Sheet. Please note that events should be submitted at least five business days before the event date. Eventsย already submitted via Cougar Connect will automatically be submitted to the Campus Calendar. The streamlined process makes submitting events easier than ever.ย
