“This event will focus mostly on the recent rise in political polarization,” Gibbs Knotts, chair of the political science department said. “The panel will be a great chance for students and members of the community to learn more about the Constitution and assess this vitally important document’s health in our currently polarized political environment.”
Part two of the series will take place March 26, 2015, at 3 p.m. and will feature Interim Provost Brian McGee in a lecture entitled, “Religious Belief, Fighting Words, and the First Amendment: U.S. Constitutional Principles and the Charlie Hebdo Massacre.” The details for part three of the series will be released as the April event approaches.
