The College of Charleston rowing team recently won gold at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship Regatta in Oakridge, Tenn.
This is the second year in a row the team has won this regatta.
The team set a school record of 6:34.6 in the 2 kilometer finals to take the championship. The rowers beat teams from Temple, Notre Dame, Virginia, Florida, and Rollins for the victory.
The College’s team consisted of Erik Markert (bow), Tyler Dollberg (2 seat) ,Sterling Lombard (3 seat), Luke Rein (stroke) and Ellinor Walters (coxswain).
The club team is coached by Joseph Berger and Travis Landrith.
