The College of Charleston will host two mayoral debates on Oct. 14, 2015.
City of North Charleston Mayoral Debate
The College of Charleston’s School of Professional Studies will host the North Charleston mayoral debate. The debate will take place at the College of Charleston North Campus located at 3800 Paramount Drive. The debate, hosted by Margaret Rush, begins at 6 p.m.
Four candidates are running for the office of mayor in North Charleston.
City of Charleston Mayoral Debate
The College of Charleston and WCIV-TV will host the City of Charleston mayoral debate. The televised debate will be held in Sottile Theater starting at 7 p.m. The event is part of the College’s Bully Pulpit series, a non-partisan program that encourages and facilitates civic participation throughout the campus community by providing a platform for dialogue with the nation’s leaders.
Six candidates are running for the office of mayor of Charleston. Mark Hyman from Sinclair Broadcasting is the moderator.
