As part of this week’s visit by Bruce Watson, author of The College Reads! 2015 selection, “Freedom Summer: The Savage Season of 1964 That Made Mississippi Burn and Made America a Democracy,” the College will host a series of public events from Nov. 6-9, 2015, in celebration of diversity, community and the power of reflection.
Boundless Words & Voices will feature authors, musical artists, spoken wordsmiths, poets, dancers and others who will share their words, voices and vision. All events are free and open to the public.

Enjoy this outdoor screening of the acclaimed film about the Civil Rights Movement activists who changed America.
“Risking Everything” Photography Exhibit and Talk

In conjunction with the Wisconsin Historical Society’s touring exhibit of Civil Rights Movement images, John White, Dean of Libraries, will present “Reluctant Desegregation: Charleston in 1964.”
