College of Charleston President Glenn McConnell issued the following statement regarding the terrorist attacks in Paris:
I am heartbroken by the horrible events that took place yesterday in Paris. I join our global community in offering my deepest sympathies to the families and friends who lost loved ones and those wounded in the terrorist attacks.
I want you to know that all College of Charleston students who are studying in France are accounted for and are safe. We also have confirmed the safety of our students in the iCharleston program in London and Dublin, who sometimes take weekend trips in Europe, including to Paris.
I ask that you keep your fellow students studying abroad, the people of Paris and all those affected by this senseless, unthinkable tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.
