The College of Charleston’s Cougar Shuttle is such a success, an additional shuttle is being added on Friday and Saturday evenings, beginning Friday, February 18, 2011 and continuing through the end of the semester. Cougar Shuttle is a free transport service available to all students with a valid College of Charleston ID. The shuttle operates from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., seven days a week, on the downtown peninsula.
To request the shuttle service, call 888.960.2227 and students should notify the driver if they are waiting alone and an attempt will be made to prioritize pick-up.
Since its launch in September 2009, the shuttle has served more than 46,000 riders. Not only does the shuttle help create a safer environment for students and residents, it helps alleviate traffic and parking congestion on downtown streets.
If you have any questions or concerns about Cougar Shuttle, please contact Evie Nadel, associate dean of students and director of community relations, at nadele@cofc.edu.
